Real lichen specimen necklace - glass bottle specimen pendant
Magical botanical specimen necklace, made from a teeny tiny little glass vial
which I have filled with real lichen that I gathered from one of the last remaining and oldest oak woodlands in Europe, Killarney National Park in Southern Ireland. This would be a lovely gift for anyone you know who has a deep love (or 'gra' as we would call it) for Ireland, it's countryside and it's rich history.
Killarney woods is famous for it's rare species of flora and fauna, including lots of mosses and lichens which thrive in the clean un-polluted air there! This particular species goes by many names here, like 'Little Clouds', 'Sea Ivory' and the Irish name 'Crotal Coille'. Killarney Woods is over 10,000 years old, so with this necklace you will be wearing not only your own little piece of Ireland, but also a token of it's most ancient history every where you go.
The fastenings are all made from gold tone brass and are nickel-free for sensitive skin, and tis pendant is available in three lengths to ensure the perfect fit for you!
This piece was lovingly handmade in my home studio in the South of Ireland, using native plants and flowers which I pick on my woodland wanders. As this piece is made with natural materials, please take care to keep it dry and store it safely away from direct sunlight.
Your pendant will arrive safely packaged in one of my beautiful signature gift boxes, ready for gift-giving and with no need for further wrapping.
